Music
in Schools Today is offering free arts planning to San Francisco
Bay area schools. The State of California is providing ongoing funds
to school districts, a total of $105 million statewide or $17-$18
per student (statewide breakdown per school).
The State is also providing one-time only funds in the amount of
$500 million statewide, or $80 per student to be used for physical
education and arts education. Read about California
state funding for arts education.
As
large or small as you wish your music or arts program to be, you
want every class, every lesson, to provide the best tools to teach
your students. Whole-school planning, coordination between teachers
and artists, music, visual arts and classroom teachers, integration
into the curriculum and student profiling with special classes for
special needs are all ways to achieve a meaningful educational experience
for each student.
Music
in Schools Today (MuST) can help you with all of these, and even
provide experienced teaching artists, music teachers and referrals
to other arts specialists or organizations.

Testimonials
"In
summer of 2005, El Dorado Elementary began a collaboration
with MuST to create a long-term plan for music education.
We generated a school-wide plan for the 2006-07 school year,
including a pilot program with 2nd and 3rd grade teachers
to integrate music and language arts curriculum, mentoring
from OUSD teachers, and membership in LLSN and MIENC, national
consortia."
